Orlando is the most visited tourist destination in the United States

The city of Orlando with almost 300,000 inhabitants is not one of the largest cities in the United States of America, but with over 75 million visitors it is one of the top destinations for tourists worldwide and the most visited city in the USA. The city is also called “The City Beautiful” and rightly so. In particular, the numerous theme parks make the city so popular as a tourist destination, because seven of the top ten theme parks in the United States are in Orlando. The bandwidth offered is enormous. In addition to the classic parks with roller coasters and other rides, Sea World, Legoland, Madame Tussaud’s, the Gatorland reptile park, several water parks and even the Christian theme park Holy Land Experience vie for the favor of visitors. However, the two largest theme parks are World Disney World and Universal Studios.

Visiting Cinderella and Mickey Mouse

The city’s most popular tourist destination is Walt Disney World Resort in the south of the city. Consisting of four different themed worlds, Disney World is the largest leisure complex in the world. In the Magic Kingdom, Cinderella invites you to visit her castle. Adventurous explorers can take a white water ride through Splash Mountain or enjoy rapid rides through a gold mine and Space Mountain on the various roller coasters. Passing kangaroos, flamingos and giraffes, it goes to the Tree Of Life, a gigantic, artificial tree that houses a cinema with over 400 seats. In Dinoland U.S.A. you can prove your skills as an archaeologist or encounter living fossils on a hike. The numerous hotels and resorts provide the necessary relaxation after the numerous experiences.

With the Hogwarts Express to Universal Studios

The second major tourist destination in Orlando is Universal Studios and the adjacent park Universal’s Island of Adventure. Not only is one of the largest film studios in the USA located here, visitors can also immerse themselves in the world of film with roller coaster rides, boat tours and white water rides: In the IMAX 3D simulator you can visit Krustyland with the Simpson family, experience a new adventure with Shrek and his friends or meet Gru and the Minions when they move into the park in 2021. A special highlight are annual events such as Mardi Gras, Halloween and the celebrations in honor of Harry Potter.

This city deserves a visit as there is entertainment in abundance for all tastes. In addition to the theme parks, the city itself attracts with its 17 city parks, the nightlife, which offers something for every price range and numerous other cultural offers, including musicals, orchestras and theaters.
